Tower to use technology to target customers in low-risk areas: CEO

Richard Harding, chief executive of New Zealand-based insurer Tower Ltd., said that the insurer plans to use technology to target customers in low-risk parts of the country, Interest.co.nz reported. “The key to accelerating our transformation is a new IT platform that combines our existing data with that of our partners to get full understanding of our customers.” Mr. Harding said that some of the benefits include the ability to target specific profitable customer segments through granular and automated pricing and underwriting and charging more accurate premiums, among others.
