Several companies have suspended operations at their manufacturing plants in India’s National Capital Region after the National Green Tribunal banned industrial activity in and around New Delhi to curb intense smog, The Economic Times reported. These companies include The Coca-Cola Co., Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. and consumer goods firm Dabur India Ltd. The region has been affected by smog with air quality deteriorating and pollution levels breaching permissible standards. “All industrial activities in Delhi-NCR which are causing emissions will not be allowed to carry on their functioning till Nov. 14,” the tribunal said.
