Typhoon Damrey sinks freighters at Vietnamese port

Ho Quoc Dung, chairman of people’s committee of Binh Dinh province in Vietnam, said that typhoon Damrey grounded, damaged or sank nine freighters in the port of Quy Nhon on Nov. 4, The Maritime Executive reported citing media sources. The vessels include a cargo ship which sank at anchor at Quy Nhon; a freighter which went aground south of Quy Nhon; and a freighter which sank at anchor near Quy Nhon. Meanwhile, six vessels were lost in the South China Sea due to the typhoon.
