Floods cause more than $18 million in damage

Councilors of Ireland’s County Donegal have said that the Aug. 23 floods caused an estimated €15.3 million ($18.4 million) worth of damage to road infrastructure, Irish Mirror reported citing Raidio Teilifís Eireann. The floods damaged 115 bridges with a quarter of them likely to be rebuilt completely. Nearly €13.5 million will be allocated for repairs on the Inishowen peninsula which suffered some of the worst damage, the councilors said.
