Hurricane Irma causes more than $10 billion of damage in Caribbean: Official

James Daniell, senior risk analyst at Germany-based Center for Disaster Management and Risk Reduction Technology, said that hurricane Irma has caused nearly $10.4 billion worth of damage in the Caribbean islands, Bloomberg reported. The hurricane damaged homes and destroyed infrastructure in places including Saint Martin, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Antigua and Barbuda, Mr. Daniell said.
